Set up – 530 am to 630 am Race Day 4 people to man trucks for set up of water stations, signage along route and barricades. This will include off loading and setting up at each station, ensuring signage and appropriate barricades are in place. Setting up tables, and water bottles in five locations along the route. 4 people to set up arch and finish line. 4 people to set up for Registration We will need the same number of people at the end of the race to tear down the signage/barricades/water stations immediately after the last runner, so that the road can be opened to the public as quickly as possible. Parking - 8 people minimum, prefer 12; 4 at oval,8 on Home Street. Ensure everyone parks where designated. At the Pavilion; We want to keep the parking lot clear at the oval for disabled and emergency vehicles, as well as for foot traffic. Parking will be on the oval and grass as designated only Parking at this location will be closed by 730 am at the latest. Volunteers are asked to be at the lot before 7am and to park in the oval. On Home Street we need to ensure that parking only in designated areas. This is the busiest location and tends to get jammed quickly. Between 630 am and 730am we can park the first cars by Burger Cabin in that lot, then when it is full park on Home Street at the Sportsman Center with overflow into the Ball diamonds . We will need 3 people on Home Street to control Traffic and then a person in each designated parking area for direction. Extra bodies very welcome! Water Stations - 3 people per station 8am to 10am Ensure your station is ready for the first runners, have water glasses ready to hand out or for the runners to grab. Pick up garbage as runners pass, please do not leave any litter on the route. When the bikers let you know the last runner is through, ensure you station is clean, tidy, and ready for trucks to pick up. Tables can be taken down and folded ready to load. If each station was ready as race finishes, truck can come from back of route and do pick up and bring volunteers back to pavilion for breakfast. Route – 14 people Parking volunteers can move from that position to the route. Oval parking will be closed at 730 due to traffic safety. Those volunteers can be taken to the route. Route volunteers are there to ensure runners safety, to stop pedestrian and vehicular traffic, that everyone stays on course, to watch for anyone in trouble.
